    How it all started

Until her passing in 2018, Margarita helped dyslexic children and adults transform their lives using the groundbreaking "Gift of Dyslexia" Davis methods.

I am absolutely bursting with excitement, so had to drop you a note to let you know! Having read to W. this evening for half an hour he begged me to read another chapter. Being desperate for a cup of tea, I said to him that if he wanted to know what happened next he could read it himself – HE DID! … he excitedly told me what had happened – so I know that he understood it as well! Thank you.

After Margarita's passing, many of her clients, colleagues, relatives and friends wanted children and adults to continue to be helped by her legacy. That's how the Margarita Whitehead Scholarship Fund got going.

    Who is involved

The Margarita Whitehead Scholarship Fund is managed by Gifts for Dyslexia, a small charity set up in 2013 to raising funds so that children and adults with learning differences and on limited means can be helped through the Davis methods. Find out more about Gifts for Dyslexia here.

    Philip and Chloe's marathon run

On 22nd September 2019, Chloe Moore and Philip Whitehead took part in the Running GP Marathon at Goodwood Motor Circuit to raise funds. Their spectacular effort raised £1,141 that have helped individuals and families on low incomes gain benefit from the Davis methods.

    My Everest

In Spring 2021, Richard Whitehead wants to add to that total by making 18 ascents in the Malvern Hills, the total altitude of which will amount to a full Everest climb. This will bring much-needed fresh funds to Gifts for Dyslexia so that more individuals can be helped.

Please help by donating if you can and by sharing our campaign far and wide!

And we did it!!! The final ascent was on Monday 7th June. Thank you all for your wonderful support!
