    Story

Eat Well MCR provides meals made by chefs to people sidelined by poverty. The collective of Manchester chefs and hospitality professionals has prepared and delivered over 87,000 meals to people facing challenging circumstances in Greater Manchester since April 2020. We're now aiming for our next target: 100,000 meals for Manchester.

People in our community that have been supported include children and families experiencing homelessness temporarily housed in hotels, women taking refuge in sheltered accommodation, food-banks looking after families and single parents in dire straits, and schools whose families are experiencing food poverty and inequality.

The chef made meals go beyond satiating hunger, providing a moment of genuine respite and relief in difficult times.

Just £2 can provide a meal for someone in need.

We are incredibly grateful when people decide to host fundraising events for us - such as Christmas Cocktail Parties in the Ribble Valley. Enormous thanks to our Board member Christine for hosting this one. Cocktail guests - you're in the right place. Please leave your name or cocktail message upon donating so we can keep track of the total. x

Hi BlueDot donators! JustGiving won't share your email address or let us message you. Please can you email mary-ellen.mctague@eatwellmcr.org with "bluedot instagram winner" in the subject and she'll reply with your VIP ticket? We will cross reference with your donation. So sorry for the faff - we hadn't realised we wouldn't be able to email you! And thank you so much for the donation! Kathleen, from Eat Well MCR
