    Story

Weʼre raising £2,000 for Ellon Civic Pride and Friends of Ellon Cemetery

Ellon Civic Pride and The Friends of Ellon Cemetery are united in the desire to help make Ellon look and feel good. They have joined forces to fundraise in order that they can carry on improving the town. All monies raised will be equally divided between the two groups who comprise enthusiastic volunteers from the local area willing to give up some free time to make a positive difference in Ellon.

Ellon Civic Pride (https://www.facebook.com/Ellon-Civic-Pride-681813152334005) have for many years kept Ellon looking good through the various planters and baskets / flower beds / litter picks / grass cutting and projects etc. but are currently finding it difficult to keep up the standard due to lack of funds to buy plants, compost, bulbs, raw materials etc.

The Friends of Ellon Cemetery (https://www.facebook.com/FriendsOfEllonCemetery) formed early this year and have managed to do a great job so far in tidying up the paths / clearing the grass cuttings / tidying up the beds in the car park etc and have lots of ideas for the future, mainly a baby memorial area. Such ideas however cost money which the group currently don't have.

It is realised this year has been financially difficult for so many but any contributions will be greatly received and used to make that little difference to make our town that bit better.
