Story
At 8 months old Huné Deandra Gascoigne, a beautiful, seemingly healthy little girl was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA Type 1) a devastating genetic disease which is the biggest genetic killer of infants. A company called Biogen give a drug called spinraza which the NHS administer by lumbar puncture to Huné every 4 months. Huné’s illness is still life limiting and a cold could kill her however so far this drug has been a miracle, her family call it her muscle juice. She is progressing so well but sadly children with this condition often die from respiratory problems due to lack of muscle strength. Miracles can happen though and we aim to help just a tiny bit by raising money to help fund whatever specialist equipment is needed for little Huné!!!

6 years agoThankyou everyone for your support so far! Can't believe we've already raised £75.00 in such a short space of time! (Some money has been handed to me personally). Here is a photo of Hune In her Wizzi Bug - a powered wheelchair for toddlers-the kind of equipment which the money we raise can help fund. Thankyou!!!!xx
