Story
The University of Exeter's Enactus "Bee and Elephant" Project - A "Save the Elephants" charity - aims to raise funds in order to build beehive fences surrounding farms in Kenya. Beehive fences are built in order to prevent elephants from crop raiding as elephants are naturally afraid of bees, therefore helping the farmers gain an income as well as preventing elephants from being harmed or killed. As well as erecting the fences, we will teach the local community how to build and maintain the fences and to extract the honey for extra income. Any donations raised will go directly to Save The Elephants in order to support this amazing project.
Many success stories have already come from this project; a farmer is now able to send his daughter to school as his crops are no longer being destroyed by elephants.
Please support us in anyway you can!
