Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. Here's a brief story why I set up this page.
I travelled to Ethiopia multiple times and last one was early this year.

I first met Sumayyah in 2008. I personally know her parents. I knew Sumayyah as someone who is extremely thoughtful, polite, kind, modest, generous and overall she is one of a bright girl I have ever seen.

Her dream is always wanting to become a doctor! She wants to help people around her and she wants to dedicate her life to others. I have no doubt that she would be able to achieve her dream since I saw how smart, hardworking and dedicated person she is. Unfortunately, she has been tested with several health problems.

She has been having blurry vision, severe headache, nasal blockage, and a few years back the doctor found out that all this time she only has ONE kidney!

Due to other health problems, she had to take a lot of medication and just recently it takes a toll to her kidney.

Right now she is suffering from extreme pain but the doctor in Ethiopia was unable to figure out what the problem is due to limited resources and diagnostic facility, hence we are trying to help her to get treatment abroad.

I have met her father and as many Ethiopian, they live a very simple life and his income is just about enough to put food on the table and roof above their head.

I set up this JustGiving page to give financial help for Sumayyah's family so she can get the right assessment and treatment accordingly so that it'll solve all the problems once and for all.

This health problem has been massive hurdle for her study but even then she managed to pass national exams with flying colour and finally secured a place in medical school. She works really hard and it's proven from top GPA result she got (3,9) in her first semester as well as on her medical entrance exam.
