This Christmas, I am trying to gather as many items as I can to help the homeless people of Cardiff this winter. It is already bitterly cold and there are so many people on the streets who won’t have a nice Christmas dinner or a warm bed to go to at night. StatsWales provided statistics on households assessed as homeless in 2017-18 which was 1,977 people in Cardiff alone.

I am asking friends, family - everyone, if you could help me in trying to help these people who have nowhere else to turn… I am collecting as many hats, scarves, gloves and blankets as I can to distribute to the homeless in Cardiff.

I will be doing this over the next few weeks leading to Christmas and welcome all donations, little or small. I am also able to come and collect items!

If you do not have anything to donate but would like to help, I am raising donations via this Crowdfunding page. These monetary donations will go towards buying more items in bulk to distribute to even more homeless people. IF there is any donations (items/money) left over, they will be donated to The Wallich in Cardiff which is a homeless shelter for individuals, couples and families with children. Their mission is to get people off the streets, keep them off the streets and find them opportunities. A lot of us take for granted what we have – our warm beds, a roof over our heads, cooked food whenever we like and generally feeling warm and healthy.
