Story
The Physiotherapy team at CIC aka "The Pain Train" are taking part in this years tiger boat race on the 16th September on Derwent Water! We are aiming for the gold but more importantly to raise lots of money to help support our hospitals Tanzanian link project. The North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust has been a part of this project since 2007. In this time, they have helped to improve and develop many areas of healthcare in the Tanzanian hospitals: opthalmology, equipment donation, infection prevention and creating an antibiotics guideline policy.
This year the project is hoping to provide a fantastic opportunity for a Physiotherapist and an Orthopaedic Nurse to journey from Tanzania to CIC for 2 weeks to take part in shadowing and training that can be implemented back home in Mbeya.
Any donations to support the team and help facilitate the project is greatly appreciated!
