    Story

To reach this goal I will be completely two 10K runs (those who know me know I never run, unless it's away from something!), have organised a Zumbathon, and will other smaller events running over the coming months

    A bit about the trip:

Myself and a small team from divisions of St John Ambulance Wales, based all over Wales, have been selected to go to McCloedganj, Himachal Pradesh in India to work with the Tibetan community there. This will be the 14th year that SJAW have provided this support. Whilst on these trips the group aim to promote a positive culture of first aid, give an update on first aid practices, inform local disaster preparedness, service existing first aid equipment and provide new equipment and provide continual professional development for the people me teach. We reach a wide variety of Tibetan society including:

School children and orphans , Buddhist monks and nuns , Refugees and previous asylum seekers , the elderly , school teachers and ancillary personnel , Crèche workers , Community Educators , Medical students Doctors & Nurses and District Nurses.

Our humanitarian response performs against the Core Humanitarian Standards and is trusted and well regarded by local stakeholders, the Tibetan government in exile and its Spiritual Leader, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet; this should not be understated. As SJAW are a charity to provide this level of international support we rely on fundraising such as this to help us give this much needed help.
