Since Maddi was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes four years ago aged just 6, I have been fundraising for various diabetes charities. We have raised around £25000 as a family in that time.

My first event was a run which sparked off my running adventure and I have kept up with since then.

This year I was very very fortunate to get a balloted place in my first ever marathon- LONDON MARATHON!!

I still want to raise money for my charities even though I have my own place and will be running alongside JDRF on the day as well as fellow club runners at Cwm ogwr, who have been a massive support during the gruelling training!

Maddi has asked me to run in fancy dress as an added challenge so she has chose Alice in Wonderland!!

I will be raising money for JDRF and local charity Type1derful who support children and their families locally living with type 1 diabetes.
