I am taking part in the Vhi Women's Mini Marathon to raise money for Drogheda Special Olympics club. The club is run entirely by volunteers who work to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of sports to hundreds of children and adults with an intellectual disability from the local area. My brother Iain is a member of the club and I would love to raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

Drogheda Special Olympics Club, through sport, offers fun, friendship, team spirit and belonging to people with special needs. Through sport, athletes develop both physically and emotionally, they make new friends, realise their dreams, and know they can fit in. Special Olympics enables them to achieve and win, not only in sport, but in life too.
