As some of you will know I have just come back from Romania where there is a huge stray dog problem. Everywhere you look there are dogs wandering the streets, many with broken legs or other injuries. Dead dogs on the side of the road. So many cold, hungry and doing what they can to survive. Despite this most of them are the sweetest most friendly dogs who deserve so much more. They deserve to be loved and cared for. So far I have committed to bringing 6 of these dogs over to the UK for new homes. A mother and her 4 young puppies and also a lovely collie who we met. I wish I could help them all, but I will continue to do what I can for as many as I can. As you can imagine the costs for this will be high. Both adult dogs will need to be spayed, all dogs will need to have vaccinations, flea treatment, wormers, veterinary care. As well as kennelling costs before they are ready to travel and then the transport costs to get them to the UK. A few lovely people have offered to donate to help me pay these costs and get the dogs safe. If anyone else would like to help it would be hugely appreciated!
