Dear All,

My name is Emmanuel Awodele. I have worked both in the Christian ministry, health and social sector over 20 years. My passion had been to support, give care and encourage people that are vulnerable and less privileged especially people from developing countries and locally. I currently work with Festival of Life an arm of Redeemed Christian Church of God and I am a part of Jesus House Health Care Team

My church Jesus House London in collaboration with our partner in Kenya, Action In Focus will be hosting about 23 members of our church with the Maassai Mara tribe in Kenya to help those in need of basic medical care who simply cannot afford it. The Kenyan population have many health needs as it is a developing country and we are going as a team to treat, give care and educate them. The key health challenges in the area for the underprivileged are Hypertension, Diabetes, High Cholesterol, and Lack of Health Screening for Pregnant Women, lack of formal Cervical and Breast Screening.

The team will consist of 10 medical staff, 11 non-medical staff and two students. We will be taking medical supplies on our trip and this mission is all self-funded. The trip will be on the 3rd-12th November 2017.

I had been involved in various medical mission trips overseas in the past and this trip will be my second to Kenya. In my previous trips I’m always overwhelmed, seeing orphans, abandoned children and vulnerable adults full of joy and excited despite their conditions was such an emotional, life changing experience. As part of the mission trip we will be visiting an orphanage which houses up to 1000 orphaned children and we will be taking donated clothes, shoes and toys for these children.

Going on this mission trip would give me the opportunity to help, support and show Christ's love to others and literally to give a little back. Volunteering for charities and going on mission trip has always been my passion that enable me make a difference in people’s lives, particularly the less fortunate.

Help me to accomplish this desire again, I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me on this trip and if possible; the subsequent ones. Even though we are going as a team to help, I know I will take away more than we could ever possibly give.

Your sponsoring will help cover the cost of my ticket and accommodation. Any extra money will be used to buy clothes and shoes to take along with us.
