Anorexia is the biggest killer out of all the mental health issues. Emma Wilson died of organ Failure due to her anorexia she was only 24 . I was in the same hospital as Emma and both were discharged aroud the same time , during my time in there I saw the impact her anorexia had on her. Typically, cbt therpay is normal offered to sufferers of this illness but may not always be the best for everyone .Emma had a huge passion for horses and horse ridding. The pony Partnership offers an alternaitve treament and therpay to the typical psychological cbt/inpatient/outpatient therapy. Emma's Fund will provide bursaries to allow young people affected by eating disorders to access specialist equine therapies as part of their treatment. Pony Partnerships will continue to fundraise in order to allow this fund to continue in Emma's memory. Anoreixa is something you cannot just get over by simply eating , therapy and the right type of treatment is needed for long term recovery. Its too late for Emma but its not too late for others suffereing .
