I am working with some amazing organisations in Ghana who support and empower local communities, because I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive and not merely survive. I believe that children deserve access to education and that through education we have the power to make positive change for the future. I believe that we can, and should make a difference in our world. So, I am asking for your help, to give people support and hope towards a brighter future. If everyone does a little, together we can do a lot.

This campaign has been supporting 3 organisations, but we are primarily focussing on continued support for Lila's Childcare Foundation.

I know a lot of people are hesitant to donate because they are not sure where the money is going, but I have chosen organisations where I am personally involved at a hands on level so that I can guarantee that all money donated here will go directly to helping individuals. I am covering fees, admin, transportation etc so that donations can be maximised.

Lila's Childcare Foundation offers education for around 120 children in the Anyaa Awoshie area of Accra who cannot otherwise afford to go to school. For many of the children the meal they receive at school will be the only thing they eat all day, Aside from receiving a guaranteed meal, the school also provides stability, and a safe environment for children who would otherwise be on the streets, or working in the local stone quarry. I have visited the school to meet the children and will be going to teach dance workshops. I went to the market to buy food for the school with money previously raised, but feeding 120 children doesn't come cheap. Sowers Academy is a private primary and junior school in Medie, Ghana providing education to 220 students who couldn’t afford the government school fees. Move The World have been working with Sowers Academy since 2015 developing a sustainable and long term development plan. I am working with the Ghana team to support running events at the school and with the local community and intend to continue working with the UK team when I return to London. Money donated will go towards their 'Buy a Brick' campaign.
