In Enactus Lancaster we work with:

- Survivors of Human trafficking in Romania, to equip them with social and business skills through a soap making business.

- Autistic individuals in Lancaster to help them develop social, personal, and employability skills. We have created a small salad business called “Zest” with the sole purpose of giving employment opportunities to local autistic individuals, who currently face a 70% unemployment rate.

- The elderly of Lanacster to help them fight social isolation and loneliness. We currently run weekly knitting classes called 'Knit and Natter' where 23 elderly ladies come weekly to make friends.

- Aspiring entrepreneurs in South Africa who lack the resources to set up their own business. We connect them with mentors and pay for their WiFi connection, to help them turn their vision into reality and provide for their families.

About the event:

Jailbreak Lancaster is an annual fundraising event which involves teams of 2 or 3 penniless students trying to get as far away from Lancaster as humanly possible in 36 hours with NO money. They travel by boat, truck and plane all in the name of raising money for Enactus Lancaster.

All proceeds from Jailbreak go towards supporting our projects. Help us raise £5000, so we can grow our projects and empower more people!
