This summer we're tackling two huge challenges in a week to help raise funds for our son, Joe, to attend the 24th World Scout Jamoboree in West Virginia in July 2019.

Our EPIC week begins with Dave tackling the Notts 100 mile bike ride on Sunday 24 June. On the following Thursday, 28th June, we set off to Scotland to embark on the Three Peaks Challenge, which involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon - the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales - all within 24 hours, finishing on Saturday 30th June. The Three Peaks Challenge will see us taking on a total walking distance of 23 miles and a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft); as well as 462 miles on the road in between.

We are really proud that Joe has been selected to represent Derbyshire at the World Scout Jamboree. This is a fantastic event that aims to celebrate global diversity and sustainability. We hope it will be an amazing adventure for him, creating lifelong friendships and memories. He has also been involved in the fundraising, having joined us on some of our training walks, designed and sold Mother's Day cards and has other events planned over the coming months.

We are grateful for any support you can give us - after battling the elements on Snowdon as part of our training we know it's not going to be easy!
