In June 2019 i hope to visit to a Malaysian Island called Borneo to volunteer a month of my time. The organisation I am going with has been established for many years and groups of volunteers have been going out to Various third world countries to start and complete projects to give locals a higher standards of living. Projects I may be involved in are building schools and community centre to improve early education as many children will leave school to help their parents with farming and running their home. The organisation helps us to share our skills and become involved with building bridges to help children gain a safer access to school. Reforestation programmes are also in place to help decrease deforestation and provide locals with crops. A month can pack a lot of volunteering in so I will also be visiting the orangutan sanctuary, an animal Borneo is most known for, however one which is extremely endangered, and also helping out in schools teaching local children.

I am continually fundraising with cake stalls, car boot sales, raffles and paid jobs such as dog walking and babysitting, the cost of the trip is £4000 and i am currently over half way, any contributions would be gratefully received to ensure i reach the final target.
