My Name is Ethan and I'm raising money to help my brother Jake raise funds to buy a caravan to help other sick children have free holidays. My brother Jake fell really sick with an extremely rare condition call Diamond Black-fan Anemeia, or DBA for short, which only effects around 600-700 people in the entire world. This condition is red cell failure where the bone marrow doesn't produce red cells, meaning that DBA patients have to have regular blood transfer to stay alive. My brother has been poorly for a long time, and even in the hardest and darkest times he always smiles, and keeps fighting through every hurdle thrown at him. He keeps pushing to be as normal as he can and he loves to play football and swim, he rides his bike, and now plays with friends, But his biggest goal is to help others and he wants to raise money to buy a caravan so he can help other sick children have free holidays and make wonderful lasting memories. I want to support my brother on his journey because he is the most caring and kind hearted brother. He wants to help other people in while he is sick himself. And I want to be a supportive big brother and help in anyway I can, so I am Braving the Shave and having all my hair shaved off to help raise some funds and get him closer to his target.
