Tako was my friend at school and I had the pleasure of playing football with him in the school football team. He is 11 years old, very friendly and kind.

Unfortunately during July he was admitted to Walsgrave Hospital feeling very poorly. Doctors told his parents his bone marrow was failing and a transplant may be required. All members of his family were tested but as yet a match has not been found. He was transferred to Birmingham Children's Hospital where doctors and nurses have been striving to lower his temperature below 40 degrees to allow him to start receiving alternative treatment to try and cure the problem.

I am really sad to see Tako so ill. He loved all sport especially running around on a football pitch, so being in hospital must be horrible. We are trying to raise as much money as possible to buy Tako something to pass away the long hours whilst he lays in his hospital bed and to support his family whilst they have to take time off work and help with the ongoing travel and park.

on Saturday 25 November I am going to do a sponsored run. I will be running 8k to help raise money towards the event for Tako. Any donation big or small will be a great help.
