Hello, my name is Eva and I am an Explorer in the Bristol South Explorer Scouts Unit - Supernova ESU. I have had the privilege of being selected to go to the 24th World Scout Jamboree to be held in West Virginia, America, 22 July – 2 August, 2019. This is a once in a life time opportunity which only occurs every four years. Attended by about 45,000 young people from over 150 countries, this adventure is beyond anything you can imagine and I’m excited to have been selected to represent the UK and the Supernova Explorer Scouts Unit. This international event brings people and cultures together to develop skills such as leadership, teamwork and cooperation. I have been part of scouting since the age of 7 and will be 15 at the time of the trip.

Throughout 2018 and 2019, I’ll take part in a series of fundraising challenges such as taking part in a sponsored run, car boot sale, name the bear, and much more. By attending as part of the UK contingent, I will be able to have a positive impact not only on Scouting but also our local community.
