About two years ago I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. This led to a lifestyle change for myself. So I decided to get off my backside and try and get fitter. A lot of sweat has gone into making myself almost 6 stone lighter. So now, it's time to give something back. On Sunday May 6th I will be taking on the Great Birmingham 10K. http://www.greatrun.org/great-birmingham-10k This is the furthest I will ever have run. My previous record being to the bar for last orders!

I just want to complete the course. Mo Farah has nothing to worry about.

If I am going to put myself through this much pain I may as well raise a few quid doing it. My chosen charity is the Geoff Horsfield Foundation. The link is at the bottom of my page. All donations made to me will then be transferred at the end directly to the foundation. They aim to help homeless and vulnerable people on the streets of Birmingham. Geoff has been made aware of my efforts and is fully supportive.
