    Story

As Mr Ashbourne is leaving at the end of the term, we have been reminiscing a little about his work at Europa. Many of you will remember the first few days of our school, how we all worked together to create something completely new. It would not have been possible without you, our wonderful parents, or your fantastic children, a brilliant governing body, a super PTA and of course all marvellous teachers. But it would certainly not have been possible without Peter Ashbourne. In these early days, he carried tables, painted rooms, sorted computer problems, bought a coffee machine, in short did about everything in addition to guiding a new school through its teething problems. Quite a few of us have therefore been thinking about how we can make a little of that magic happen when Peter leaves us at the end of this term. After some stealthy investigations, we have found out that Peter's favourite city is Vienna and we are trying to raise money for a trip there for him and his wife before he and we leave the shared route to embark on new adventures.

Thank you so much to all of you who have donated already and to those of you who have visited the page. I can see we will be easily reaching our target but the more we get together the more special we can make Peter´s trip. It is wonderful how many people are showing their appreciation.
