Hi, thank you for reading my story. During childbirth I fractured my coccyx. After several treatments including manipulation, steroid injections and others it was decided that the only option left was to remove my coccyx. I was in hospital for two weeks and then returned home. It took over a year to recover but sadly the operation did not work. The place we lived in was not suitable anymore so we had to move. I had to change doctors and hospitals and the opinions were not the same as my previous consultant, which was a bit disheartening. They said they would not have removed my coccyx and tried some other treatments instead. Anyway I have been through several treatments again since and nothing has taken away the pain. Every step I take hurts so my life has been turned upside down. My son is amazing and I would not change a thing we are very close, he is so supportive and understanding when I cannot do everyday normal things with him. He helps me more than a child should and I am incredibly grateful to him. If I can get this done there is a chance that I can get some normality back into my life. I will be able to sit on the floor and do lego with him, walk him to school without being in pain and so much more. Having been so active before I would love to get some normality back in my life! Not dependent on pain killers and other medication to deal with side affects. These are the last few years that my son would want his Mum to play on the carpet with him. By the time I'd reached the top of the NHS list, he'll have moved on to skateboards and football clubs. I'm terrified of missing our chance and I want him to have a normal childhood. Please help us to achieve this. Every pound counts.
