A cause very close to my heart having got to know a lot of the residents in the nursing home. Several of the residents have family that live too far away to visit ( New Zealand etc) and I would like to provide a laptop which has Skype on it to connect families. Some of the residents may never see their families face to face again for many reasons and with technology their dream to speak to their loved ones becomes reality. Computer Division in Stirling has agreed to supply a top notch laptop with hard drive for playing dvds and all the software needed for Skype for £200. They are donating £100 plus the software needed which is very generous. My heart broke in two today when a resident broke her heart saying she will never see her son again as he is in New Zealand and neither of them are fit enough to travel. If I can make this dream of speaking to her son a reality the laptop will be worth its weight in gold.
