Flash in the Attic Dance Theatre is appealing for public support to assist in the launch of its new project in North Wales.

FiTA has been working with emerging dance artists for almost five years on a number of projects which have been shown at dance events and platforms across the UK. We now have a funding target of £300 towards our next project this summer. The company will be working on intensive rehearsal days to immerse themselves in the creative choreographic process with a visiting dance artists, Jeffery Trinidad who has recently relocated to Manchester from Melbourne Australia. This is a really exciting opportunity for the company to create work with a guest commissioned artist.

Funds raised will go towards assisting dancers with travel expenses, rehearsal space, costume and materials for the creation process.

The company plans to hold open rehearsal viewings and a small-scale sharing of the work(s) created prior to touring further afield in the autumn.

FiTA has been striving to build a sustainable environment for dance artists in the local area to remain engaged with the dance industry, creating and performing work. The company was launched by two Chester University graduates and is continuing its journey to establish a consistent stream of opportunities and employment for local dance artists.
