Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Thank you for visiting the Fobo Good Causes page.
Fobo has been created to change the way people meet and to drive improvements in behavior and respect between those in the singles community. One of the ways Fobo is achieving this is by monitoring the way members treat each other and actively encouraging those who feel they have been treated disrespectfully to report it so that the Admin and Moderators can investigate and resolve any issues.
But Fobo is about more than that, its also about doing good in the community in general so the way in which we have linked these two concepts together is by suspending members on the Fobo app if they behave inappropriately or disrespectfully towards another member but with the option to turn something bad in to something good.
We achieve this by giving the suspended user the option to make a donation to one of the good causes we support in exchange for their suspension being lifted. However they can only have the suspension removed via donation once every three months and persistent offenders are permanently removed from the app. In addition Fobo will be donating 10% of any profits we make directly to the causes we support and there is also an option in the app for people through their own good will to make donations too.
One of the charities we have initially chosen to support is Frustrated Communication who support those with communication difficulties, cancer and diabetes. Its a small charity which has to fight to raise funds amongst much bigger charities. At Fobo we feel privileged to be able to assist them in raising funding and awareness.
