Weʼve raised £235 to support a VERY special girl called Hannah who has a rare genetic disorder called CDKL5

    Story

We (me and Darren) are running the Manchester half marathon - 13.1 miles - to raise money for a VERY special young lady called Hannah Marshall-Smith.

Hannah is a 13 year old girl with rare genetic disorder called CDKL5. CDKL5 affects normal brain development, so Hannah cannot walk or talk, has spinal abnormalities, gastrointestinal difficulties, epileptic seizures, and difficulty eating and feeding herself.

Hannah's family are what I consider to be real superheroes, Hannah's illness means that she needs constant, 24 hour a day care. And as a family they provide it with never ending love and devotion, with time left over to think of others, raising money for charities and donating hair to make wigs for children suffering from cancer.

We feel it's time something great was done for Hannah and her family; we want to give them something that will make life a little bit easier, something they need and something that will make a difference to them, and this is a summer house.

Hannah is an incredible and beautiful person, always happy, smiling and laughing, and wanting to be involved with what is going on around her, especially when her sisters Phillipa and Elizabeth are playing.
A summer house would give Hannah the ability to safely be out of the house and in the garden with her family when the sun is shining, taking part in all the fun. It will allow them to spend quality summer days together building memories to cherish.

Please help this extremely worthy cause, because donating just a small amount of money will make a huge difference to Hannah and her family.

    Many thanks for your support
    Lisa and Darren
