For Isabelle

Things like this are never easy to write. Sadly Isabelle passed away peacefully on the 21st of August at 3.46am.

Isabelle is my niece and she was born 12th December 2015 and was later diagnosed with quadriplegic spastic cerebral palsy, gastroesophageal reflux and later on scoliosis. In February 2018 Isabelle contracted influenza and after a short time pneumonia. This resulted in Isabelle going into septic shock (sepsis) causing lack of oxygen and global brain injury. And after 6 months of fighting she is finally at peace.

As her Auntie, Isabelle and I shared an extraordinary bond. I was there when she came into this world, holding her close when she was minutes old and I was by her side as she left this world. I will cherish every one of these moments and hold them close to my heart.

In her memory we as a family would like to raise money so Isabelle can have the send off she so much deserves. We would also like to have a bench dedicated to Isabelle placed outside Queen Mary's children's hospital, a place where Isabelle spent a lot of her time overcoming the many obstacles she faced.

As a family we will be extremely grateful for any donation, no matter how small. Any amount will mean the absolute world to us.

Her funeral will be taking place on the 4th of September. If we are lucky enough to exceed our amount any remainig funds will be donated to The Shooting Stars hospice where Isabelle stayed and holds many happy memories for the family
