A dear friend of mine and his family are facing a horrible battle and I wanted to do something to help. Therefore I will attempt to run my first Ultra Marathon this October. In preparation of this, as well as run many, many training miles, I will also run a half and full marathon.

The Plan:
Half Marathon – 15th October, Aviemore.
Marathon – 16th September – Oslo, Norway
Ultra Marathon – 22nd October - Edinburgh

The reason, from Mario:
"Over a year ago now our wee Sofia was diagnosed with a complicated form of cancer. Everything has changed for us. Since then Sofia has been battling through various forms of hellish treatments and operations.

The kindness of all you guys out there is plain to see. We are constantly asked by people where they can send money to help Sofia. Either directly or indirectly through charities close to Sofia's interests...

The motivation for starting this page is, beside these requests, That Sofia is now at a new point in her treatment. In the coming months she will, hopefully, be heading to London to get some much needed cutting edge treatment. The NHS covers this treatment, but there will be expenses attached to living in London for a month. Anything that you guys can help with to lighten this horrifically stressful time would be greatly appreciated.

We're so grateful to everyone who is offering to help via charity runs etc, etc, etc. Anything you can spare to Sofia and Neuroblastoma UK will be greatly appreciated."

Mario and his family have had a successful fund raising campaign and have raised an incredible £10,000 but I wanted to do my part also. Anything over the expenses raised from their stay in London will go straight to the Neuroblastoma UK charity.

Any and all help would be appreciated not just to help Sofia but to help fight this cunt of a cancer that affects children. Even a share would be much appreciated.
