Today, I've bought an extra tall pet safety gate for Renee's room. She is starting to feel more secure in her space but is still nervous of human contact. I'm hoping that with the pet gate she can smell, hear and, when she's ready, see my other cats much more which may help bring her round a little. At this stage, the using of the pet gate will be supervised closely and the door of Renee's room will be closed during times I can't supervise. Don't forget to follow her progress on FB ... She's still frightened of humans but she has a wonderful time during the night playing with all her new toys and making herself at home in her room. Renee has been in my care now for five days. It is only now I've had chance to assess her properly that the extent of the trauma she has suffered in her short life has become clear. However, she is not feral, just devoid of human contact or kindness. She now has that kindness and thank you to your generous donations so far, she has the best care possible. She remains frightened but she is safe, warm and well fed and is being allowed to take things at her own pace. Please rest assured that I'm doing the best I can for her. Kate
