Story
Foundation Futures is a small Community Interest Company. We provide specialist alternative education for some of our most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people who have been excluded from mainstream education.
We have been in business for only 4 years but have 50+ years teaching between us. Our approach is a simple one but it works very effectively in re engaging young people with education by helping them find out what they can do instead of what they can’t.
We would not be able to do what we do without the support of a wide network of business and community partners. Together we work collaboratively to provide a very broad range of learning experiences and environments outside of the traditional classroom, which helps improve confidence, motivation and aspiration.
We have recently been donated an allotment plot which we hope to develop into a community garden. We want to provide an outdoor learning space and accommodate social and volunteering opportunities for families of our learners. Poor mental health is common for these young people and their parents so we plan to develop opportunities for supporting this within the garden. Whilst we have worked hard to prepare the ground for this ourselves, it requires significantly more groundwork than we can manage alone which is why we have set up this page.
We really appreciate your support!
