Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
As some of you will know Foxhill School had a break in yesterday and around 20+ Ipads were stolen. My child went to Foxhill School and he has excellent memories that he has taken away with him, and I have lots of friends who have their children there now.
As a community we should not allow our childrens education to suffer when they go back in the New Year.... wouldnt it be lovely if as a village if we could all club together however small or large your donation so that we can collectively prove to our children that not all is bad in their tiny world and local community.
I appreciate its a bad time... everyone has their own family to think about but come on lets make sure that our kids return back to school to shiny new ipads in the New Year.
Im happy for all moneys raised to be handed over to the headteacher or local councillor to simply purchase the ipads before they go back and provide proof of purchase for everyone on here.
Happy Christmas!

5 years agoDear Everyone, it appears the pledges have come to an halt! I spoke with Mrs Hey via email the other day and I plan to go meet with her tomorrow. One thing that stood out in our brief exchange of emails was the need to invest in further security for the school. I said I would like to ask everyone who donated before making any decisions - so please feel free to give me your thoughts! I will of course be requesting official receipts, and documenting any spend with photographic evidence so you can all see your money going to good use. Gary.

5 years agoHappy Boxing Day... well the momentum has slowly dwindled but I’m sure everyone has been very busy making sure they have a great Xmas. I suppose we need a back up plan of how best to spend the money if we don’t hit target. One thing that has come up time & time again is the topic of security. Therefore I’d like to ask what all your thoughts are around purchasing a B-Grade safe which should still leave money in the pot & I’m sure we could get a kind parent to professionally bolt it into the ground of the school. Or do we hold out for the target?

5 years agoWell nearly 24 hours in and we’re on our way.... I wasn’t expecting all the amount of doom and gloomers stating kids don’t need such luxuries as iPads well bah humbug to them. Big thanks again and we will raise this money I’m absolutely certain if it. Today I emailed the headteacher asking for her support if possible and I’m awaiting a reply but will keep you updated. Please share if you haven’t already! If your friend s and family see you’ve given so generously let’s hope it inspires the good in them to pledge too
