The youth of the LDS Porthmadog Branch are raising funds in support of two causes. Funds raised will be split equally between the two.

We have worked together with CEFN, a refugee support group, for almost two years. They do fantastic work in sourcing, packing and sending much-needed clothing and other supplies to help refugees and people in need across Europe and the Middle East. Funding will help them to get the aid to where it needs to go.

Secondly, our youth have a great opportunity to attend a regional Youth Conference this summer. Many of them come from low-income families and they need support to pay the cost of attending the For the Strength of Youth (FSY) camp. The money raised will go towards paying the registration fee.

We're holding a 24 hour pack-athon to raise funds for the camp. Unsorted clothing will be checked, sorted and packed, ready for delivery to shipping points in the North West.

FSY creates a setting where youth from across the region have the opportunity to develop spiritually, physically, intellectually and socially. They meet lots of young people their age from across the North West, Wales and Ireland. Highlights of the week include workshops, dances, a musical program, a games night, service projects, a variety show, and good food! The main benefits are new friendships, strengthened testimonies, and lasting memories.

Before they go, it's all they'll talk about! As soon as the youth come home, they will be full of great memories, engaging stories, and a strengthened resolve to serve their families, their communities and their God.
