Story
Above is Henry, who we adopted from Labrador Rescue North West when he was just over a year old. When we turned up he ran to greet us with his tail wagging and his tongue hanging out and I knew that he belonged with us.
Henry has just celebrated his 6th Gotcha day and has provided us with endless entertainment and happy memories which without Labrador Rescue North West just would not have been possible. The rescue is a small local charity that takes in Labradors from a variety of backgrounds with their latest rescue mission seeing them rescue 16 labradors from one property. They care for each dog, nurse them back to health if this is needed and find them the right forever home where their dedicated team continue to follow their journeys.
Labrador Rescue North West rely on donations from its supporters and I feel it important to recognise the work they do and the dedication they show towards helping the Labradors because without them, we would not have Henry. As a smaller charity, they do not get huge fundraising opportunities so I would like to be able to give something back to Glenys, Sam and the rest of the team at the rescue for the amazing work they do.
I have been taking part in the Walk 1000 miles for 2018 challenge and have been surprised with how many miles I have been able to cover so far. Glenys has been extremely supportive of this, as Henry has been completing parts of it with me so raising money for Labrador Rescue NW seems fitting. I'm aiming to reach 400 miles walked by the end of March 2018 as well as completing a 10 mile walk following a section of the Guild Wheel on Monday 19th March 2018. Any donations towards this would be gratefully recieved. Thank you xx
