Story
This is where we can raise the funds for a proper funeral for Brian/Bruno. We will work out the details on the Facebook Group page we’ve put together (click here ) - a decent and straight-forward funeral will cost around £1,600 without any frills added. This would involve a gathering/ceremony, coffin, cremation and back-up provided by funeral directors.
update 12 October 2017: We have made the target. Huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to this fund - it is really touching to see how many people thought to do so. Every bit made the difference, whether small or big, and it is lovely to see how many of us cared for him out there.
We can't organise the funeral until Police Scotland release his body, and they haven't yet announced yet when they will. The police know that we are ready to take over the funeral arrangements when they do.
I will keep this funding page open in case anyone else still wants to add in anything. All funds raised here will be spent on Brian/Bruno's funeral and nothing else.

7 years agoHere is the firm date for Brian's funeral: Time: 1.45pm Date: Monday 18 December 2017 Place: Glasgow Crematorium, Western Necropolis, Tresta Rd, Glasgow G23 5AA http://glasgowcrematorium.co.uk/index.htm A simple ceremony, a cremation, and a gathering afterwards at another location. Brian's friends who are Hare Krishna devotees will chant, doubtless others will share memories of him, and we may have a non-religious celebrant to help things run smoothly. https://www.facebook.com/groups/BrianBrunoSendOff/

7 years agoAs of today, we can arrange Brian's funeral. We have the money to do so, and Police Scotland will work to our timetable, there is no mad rush. Is there anyone in Glasgow who could volunteer to pick up his death certificate from Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, and register his death at the Registrar's office in John Street? I'd do it, but I'm nearly 500 miles away! If you can, drop me a line moray.coulter@gmail.com and I'll give you the details. Time to get something organised...

Was so sorry to hear of Bruno's passing. Had good times messing around playing ska tunes with him in the 90's! He was nice guy, quiet, dry witted and talented! Lost touch over the years, very sad!
