Story
I'm starting a new Came To Believe Retreat at Minsteracres Retreat Centre October 27-29th 2017. This is a 12 Step weekend open to all suffering from addiction. My aim is to help fund the retreat especially for those people who cannot afford the cost of £135 for the weekend.
I was in AA for a while and stuck on step 4 for too long. I went to my first retreat in November 2014 and it was a life changing experience. I was taken through the Big Book Of Alcoholics Anonymous in the way it was done back in 1935 using the 12 Step Programme and it was truly amazing. I have a wonderful life today living in steps 10,11 and 12 and these retreats have saved my life. I want to carry this message to the still suffering alcoholic and for anyone suffering from an addiction, whatever it may be.

7 years agoIn order to raise money for the retreat I've decided to climb all Wainwrights's 36 Far Eastern Fells in the Lake District. I'm doing this with Gavin and Basil and so far we have completed 16, many of them in snow. I hope to complete the remaining 20 before summer. How much can you donate per top? It will surprise many of you that I now love climbing hills!! Much love Mandy x
