Story
Ecuador faces a number of ecological challenges of great importance. Among many things, it is home to the Amazon rainforest and the Galapagos Islands, which contain more unique species than anywhere else on earth. However, Ecuador has one of the highest rates of deforestation in South America.
I plan to travel to the Amazon and the Galapagos Islands in July 2017 to aid ecology and conservation efforts with Operation Wallacea. I am organising events and doing personal challenges to raise money in order to fund the substantial cost of the expedition.
I am currently completing my 150km Christmas Running Challenge: running 150km in 50 days before Christmas, and raising awareness about the challenges facing the Huaorani people in the Amazon.

Incredible thanks to everyone who supported me last month on my challenge! It was a tough and exhausting challenge over the Christmas period, but it brought me one step closer to helping Operation Wallacea in Ecuador. Ecuador has some of the most vulnerable ecosystems in the world, under threat especially from the high rates of deforestation.
