    Story

Let's send ballet kit! And provide ballet opportunities for girls and ladies in The Gambia. Ballet changed my life and so it will change others! 🌎

We've collected a whole bunch of ballet shoes, leotards and costumes for  Gambia Ballet Factory run by Linda, in The Gambia, West Africa. At GBF, the local girls are learning ballet, practising choreography and falling in love with performing... inspired to share the joys with their communities.

Just like the dance school I grew up at, GBF is a second family for the dancers. It provides a community for them to come together and support one another, though their families are poor and opportunities are few. AND they get good ballet training!

    Discipline... perseverance... determination... self esteem...

The ballet-wear donated will give the students the right outfits to learn in. Not just allowing them to move well, but making them feel special... like dancers! Just as children in the UK treasure their first ballet shoes, so these kids do too! And even more so without iPads and drawer-fulls of toys...

But we need to get the donations to them first! And the high shipping cost is currently stopping it from reaching them... PLEASE HELP by donating 💸 Each small amount adds up... we're working on £35 per box of leotards and shoes 📦 And £15 per pair of 'ouch pouches' to protect the students toes from pointe shoe blisters!
