White rhino populations have dramatically decreased in recent years due to poaching. Their horns are wrongly seen as a sought after ingredients for medicinal purposes in certain cultures. During this trip we will learn more about white rhinos in the reserve and their conservation. We will also assist with local wildlife vets in the tracking, DNA sampling and tagging of these rhinos as part of conservation methods, as well as working with other species of animals including the big five species which are lions, elephant, leopard and buffalo. The money raised will help us with our charity work at the reserve.
