I will be taking part this year in a Dry January, but with a little twist. I will endeavour to last the whole of January without consuming a single drop of alcohol, I know to some of you this doesn't seem all that challenging, so I've decided that as well as not drinking, I will be running/jogging a minimum of 3 kilometres per day for the whole month. With the end goal of achieving a total of 100km by the end of January.
All donations will be handed over to the Barnsley Churches drop in project, A charity that provides food, clothes, toiletries etc for the local homeless community. I have set a target of £400 and believe this is a realistic and achievable figure. However, I do not want to place too much emphasis on the money, if you're not able to donate money, you can still help, the centre will also accept clothes, toiletries, food, blankets, the list goes on, anything you can donate will be accepted and appreciated.
