    Story

I will be running the Run Richmond Park 10k on 25th Feb 2017 on behalf of Aimee and her family.
Late on Friday 3rd Feb my partner got a message from our dear friend and her best friend Traci to say that Aimee was unwell and was at Chichester hospital awaiting an ambulance to take them to Southampton. We knew that Aimee had been poorly but thought it was just that awful time of year with one bug or another doing the rounds.

They sadly had found a growth on Aimee's spine and wanted to get her into surgery to remove the growth asap. Saturday morning came and went and it's with a lump in my throat I say this, but they found 3 more growths with 2 being on her brain.

They did a biopsy and sadly discovered Aimee has Ependymoma an aggressive Cancer that develops in the Brain or Spine and spreads through the spinal fluid and the cause is still unknown in Children.

Aimee is a beautiful 7 year old girl that we have had the pleasure of watching grow into the bright, talented young lady she is. Sharing sleep overs and watching her jump around with our eldest son Oliver always brought many giggles and joy to a room.

I am doing this run not just for Aimee but her Mum Traci who as Aimee's mum has now been told by the doctors she will need to give up work as a self employed beauty therapist.
She has remained so strong throughout and continues to stay positive for her family. Aimee also has a younger sister of 3 and it would be lovely to see them perhaps do something fun as a family or just to ease a little pressure.

Please I ask all my dear friends and family to help and share this as much as you can. Let's show our love and support for this beautiful little girl and her family.

Love Gareth and Jenny with thanks xxx
