In February 2019 I am going to volunteer in Cambodia full time for a month in a maternity unit contributing to all aspects of woman centred care as part of my midwifery elective placement. Cambodia is consider to be one of the worlds poorest nations and therefore the aspect of care will be very different from what we are used to especially in terms of safety and hygiene. I hope to contribute knowledge and compassion to the less fortunate people of this country whilst delivering safe care to all woman and their new borns.
