HELLO FRIENDS!

As you all know I have recently been diagnosed with Lyme disease and have been under going treatment for this since November. You will also all remember from my last justgiving page, that I have started attending the private clinic, Breakspear Medical, where they specialise in chronic illnesses, including Lyme. I am happy to inform you that since having 10 weeks worth of antibitoics and some supplements I am feeling a lot better than I first was! Those of you close to me will know that I was feeling very unwell before and over christmas which is why I missed so much uni! I'm sure a lot of you have seen how much better I am doing this year as I have been to pretty much all my lectures and things at uni in my second term. However, i am still suffering with a number of symptoms and my blood results from BS that I managed to get (all because of you!) have shown that I do have the confirmed co-infections that come with Lyme, such as Bartonella and Babesia etc, as unfortunately ticks and fleas do not just transmit one thing, bugger!! Therefore, I am having to continue treatment and my doctor has given me a new 6 week treatment plan and regime, for a mixture of 3 antibiotics and various supplements. I do feel incredibly cheeky to be making another fundraising page, however, as you can imagine, being treated through Breakspear is very expensive, even just for consulations. 30 minute appointments are £110 and 15 minute phone calls are £55! 6 weeks worth of supplements come to £150 and some antibiotics are very pricey! It is all very expensive but they have helped me so much so far, as they know what they are talking about! So I have created another page, for anyone that is able to donate anything at all towards my ongoing treatment and consultations, I know so many of you helped me last time SO so much, and I definitely don't expect you to fork out again for me! But if you do have any spare change I'd be so so appreciative and grateful for eternity, Gem xx
