I am fundraising for the family of a wonderful soul. Andy, fondly known as 'Bez' to all his friends, was a true Mancunian. Selfless, hilarious, generous and extremely talented young man. He tragically lost his brave battle with Depression. Bez was a talented Graphic Designer. Being a fellow artist, we'd often poke fun (and a little scorn) at the people who expected Bez to use his time, expertise, skills and talent on creating unique designs and logos, whilst expecting him to be happy with being paid £5 for his services.
Bez was also a huge music lover, in particular, Ian Brown & The Stone Roses. I wanted to be able to do something positive for Bez's family, whilst poking fun at all those people who wanted 'art for a fiver'.
I am creating a A2 sized, Graphite drawing of Bez's idol, Ian Brown. I received permission from the original photographer, Anthony Mulryan, to be able to use his iconic image of Ian, to replicate as a piece of art.
To poke fun at those 'art for a fiver' types, I'm going to give this drawing away in a prize draw.

Depression often goes unnoticed, with many sufferers hiding their struggle. Depression is one of the biggest killers of men under the age of 50. I'm hoping by highlighting this hidden killer, it may give courage to anybody suffering, to seek help. If you are suffering, please take the first step to recovery and reach out. MIND, Calm and The Samaritans are incredible charities. Do not suffer in silence, you are worth more than you could possibly imagine.
