In August 2018 I have luckily been chosen to go to Belize with Girlguiding North West England. Out of the whole of North West England myself and 11 other girls have been picked for this adventure. During our trip we will be mainly be doing Manatee conservation, they have only just been upgraded from endangered to vunrable so it is important to make sure their numbers are not declining. We will also be carrying out coral and sea grass surveys; Beach clean ups and also educating the ocean schools in Belize on the importance of the environment they live in. I am passionate about this cause as I would love to work with marine animals when I am older. This is a once in a life time opportunity, but in order for me to go I have to raise quite a bit of money (£2600).
