I am currently a first-year criminology student at the University of Chester. I thrive to see other people smile and I am extremely passionate about bettering the lives of those who do not have the funds or resources to do so. I am a hard working, dedicated individual who wants to improve my own knowledge of different cultures within the world we live today, whilst creating a happy and safe environment for others. I believe everyone deserves equal opportunities in life and feel incredibly fortunate to be able to utilise my skills and knowledge to improve the lives of children and animals this summer in Laos, Asia. I will be volunteering in an important sustainable community development and elephant rehabilitation program. Any donations given will help to facilitate the means for implementing a major community development project which will encompass construction in addition to educating the community on matters of conservation, sustainability, health/hygiene and English proficiency. By sponsoring myself you will be directly assisting with costs involved in participating in the program. These costs are significant and include hiring local skilled trades people to supervise and assist in the building projects, building materials and donations to the local organisations. I will complete 40+ hours of hands on community based volunteer work and would be extremely grateful for any support anybody can provide! :)
