I am a Primary School Teacher, who was fortunate enough to visit Gambia last April. Whilst there, I had the privilege of teaching children who despite their circumstances, just wanted to learn. Their 'classroom', a near empty concrete building with very little resources, could not have been more different from the classroom I am used to teaching in. The school I work for, have already donated our old tables and chairs, however the classroom is still not fit for purpose. I am now aiming to raise £15,000 to build a new classroom, which will provide the children with a suitable environment to learn in. All children, deserve a chance to an education; with your donations (however big or small) this is something that can be achieved.
