Hi there

For those of you who don't know me, I am Geordie Coles and I'm 14 years old. In October 2020 I will be joining an expedition to Nepal with my school. I know It will be challenging but I‘m sure it will be the trip of a lifetime.

Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world. Natural disasters, extreme poverty and difficult terrain all make life hard for many of the people in Nepal, and groups like Global Action do as much as they can to offer outside support. During my trip I will be joining a number of volunteer programmes including helping build a new school or healthcare centre, assisting young monks with learning English and working with local children and their families. I will also be discovering as much as I can about climate change in the area.

The three-week project will also help me get into university (a few years away)
