Vitalii Gaitur (JW) is a 25 year old boy from Moldova who suffers from kidney failure since 2009. Since then he has been doing dialysis to remove waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys stop working properly. This involves diverting the blood to a machine to be cleaned. He has the possibility of a transplant with a kidney donated by his sister, but there is an additional problem, as Vitalii has also a rare condition that causes his kidneys to fail, therefore, even if he could receive a kidney, he would be in the same situation.
Vitalii has managed to find a doctor and a clinic willing to help him treat the condition causing his kidney failure. This implies a surgical operation in a clinic in Germany. Only the operation would cost €11.000 plus another €10.000 after the operation for dialysis. Only then can he receive the kidney from his sister.
He managed to raise around €10.000 but he still needs help for the rest of the amount. He will be in Germany from the 15th of January to prepare for the operation.
